Road Safety Movement works to promote safer roads, responsible road use, and sustainable transportation systems through education, research, advocacy, victim support, and community engagement.

01.

Education and Awareness

  • Organize regular workshops, seminars, and training programs involving organizational members, students of educational institutions, and other road users to promote education on traffic laws and road safety.
  • Display awareness banners and posters in populated and strategic locations, organize roadshows, and conduct public awareness campaigns through various media.
  • Conduct short-term and long-term training courses to enhance the skills of transport workers and related professionals and to develop a new generation of skilled human resources.
  • Implement special programs aimed at bringing about positive behavioural change among road users.

Research

  • Collect, analyze, and evaluate data and information to prepare and publish research reports aimed at reducing road crashes and ensuring sustainable development.
  • Conduct proper investigations, assess losses and damages, and provide recommendations for future actions based on the analysis of road crash data.
  • Evaluate vehicle standards, the application of modern technologies, and road usability to prepare and publish reports aimed at reducing traffic congestion, improving transportation efficiency, and enhancing road safety.

Advocacy

  • Play an active role in formulating and implementing timely policies to ensure public safety based on research findings and evidence.
  • Provide recommendations and undertake coordinated initiatives with relevant authorities for the application of modern technologies in road safety and traffic management, identification of accident-prone (black spot) areas, risk reduction measures, and implementation of community-based awareness programs.
  • Organize regular thematic discussions, seminars, and workshops involving national and international organizations, authorities, and stakeholders related to road transport and traffic management for knowledge and experience sharing.

Victim Support

  • Ensure the proper rehabilitation of road crash victims in collaboration with government, non-governmental, and international organizations.
  • Establish rescue teams and provide necessary medical assistance to ensure prompt and appropriate treatment for road crash victims.
  • Provide legal support to individuals and families affected by road crashes.
  • Conduct mental health support, counseling services, and post-rehabilitation follow-up programs for injured and affected individuals.

Community & Social Initiatives

  • Promote an accessible, inclusive, and sustainable transportation system by encouraging coordination among road, rail, and water transport and undertaking related activities.
  • Support the improvement of standards and proper utilization of transport-related equipment, spare parts, and heavy-duty vehicles.
  • Build public awareness and strengthen social movements to protect citizens’ rights and ensure public safety.
  • Implement programs for the socio-economic development and health protection of disadvantaged communities, persons with special needs, and transport workers.
  • Provide relief assistance, healthcare services, and financial support for people affected by natural disasters.
  • Conduct awareness campaigns to prevent drug abuse, tobacco consumption, and various forms of social crime.
  • Implement initiatives aimed at reducing unemployment and developing skilled human resources.
  • Conduct research and awareness programs on climate change adaptation and environmental protection, while implementing tree plantation drives, cleanliness campaigns, and beautification activities.
  • Monitor government and non-government activities, including election observation, and undertake initiatives that promote transparency and accountability.
